Declarations of international organizations on the right to access to the Internet

Abstract
This study analyzes the joint declarations of international organizations (Rapporteurships of the ONU, OEA and CADHP) on Internet access as a fundamental right. An analysis of documents has been carried out based on various categories on the declarations from 2001 to 2022 that have been published on its web portal. The main categories are focused on universal access to the Internet, the non-restriction of this right by States or companies, the regulation of this right, digital literacy, among others. It is concluded that the statements focus their interest on universal access to the Internet, its regulation, the non-restrictions to access information, the participation of the female gender, digital literacy, the use of the network in contexts of political interest framed within freedom of expression based on truthful, objective information that promotes democratic participation without any discrimination.
